What Separates Alpha Zulu

From The Crowd

Our mission is what defines us as a leader in our industry.

We show aircraft owners how to manage and operate their aircraft at the highest levels of safety, efficiency, and economic performance. We aim to be the big brother in aviation every owner wishes they’d always had to the point our clients come to see us not as a vendor, but as family.

Our customers will always know genuine legitimacy when they see it: clear communication, consistent delivery, and personal service, every time.

Gerrit Uttecht

Founder & CEO

Experience

20+ years in aviation | 10,000+ total flight hours | Pilatus specialist

Bio

Gerrit founded Alpha Zulu Aviation in 2007 with a simple conviction that aircraft owners deserve a partner who treats them like family. Nearly two decades and more than 10,000 flight hours later, that conviction still drives the company. A significant portion of Gerrit’s time in the air has been spent in Pilatus aircraft, giving him near-mastery of the platform from day-to-day flight operations to maintenance strategy to the long-term economics of ownership. Beyond the cockpit, he brings deep expertise in aviation management and maintenance oversight, and most importantly to him a genuine passion for the human side of the business. Gerrit believes the best service in aviation isn’t transactional; it’s personal. Every client relationship at Alpha Zulu is a direct reflection of that belief.

Chadd Garvy

Chief Pilot

Experience

15+ years in aviation | 6,500+ total flight hours | Pilatus PC-12/PC-24 Expert

Bio

Chadd brings a broad résumé built across multiple corners of the aviation world. Several thousand of his more than 6,500 flight hours were spent as a flight instructor and mentor, working with a wide range of pilots including owner-operators of their own jets and PC-12s. He went on to serve three years as Chief Pilot for a major Southwest operator before dedicating his career to Pilatus aircraft.

Over the past seven years, Chadd has operated the PC-12 and PC-24 almost exclusively, developing the depth of familiarity with these airplanes that Alpha Zulu’s clients rely on every flight. As Chief Pilot, he oversees flight operations, pilot mentoring, and the standards that keep the Alpha Zulu experience consistent from cockpit to cockpit.

Alpha Zulu's

History

Alpha Zulu Aviation began in 2007 with one client, one airplane, and one conviction: that aircraft owners deserved better. Gerrit Uttecht saw an industry filled with service providers who treated owners like transactions, and he set out to build something different, a management company that treated every client like family.

From that first airplane, the company grew almost entirely by word of mouth. Clients stayed because of how they were treated, the care behind every flight, the professionalism in the cockpit, and the attention to detail in every logbook entry and monthly report. Referrals followed. One airplane became a fleet. A reputation took shape.

Today, Alpha Zulu specializes in Pilatus aircraft with deep operational fluency in the PC-12 and PC-24 while serving owners of larger turbine aircraft who demand the same standard: safe, economical, and personal. The mission has not changed since 2007. We treat our clients like family, and we build relationships that last.
